Station St was an existing property in the portfolio of not-for-profit Unison Housing and was in urgent need of redevelopment. It has been upgraded to improve unit yield, extended economic life and greatly improved tenant amenity. The existing heritage building is complemented by a new build component on the site and has transformed a run-down rooming house into a facility with 38 brand new self-contained apartments.
The main building program commenced in March 2020 and was completed, on budget, two months ahead of schedule in May 2021.
Despite the covid-19 pandemic, the development has delivered tangible social benefits within a tight economic framework.
