Moonee Valley Park is expected to become the premium neighbourhood in Melbourne’s North. Its sensitively integrated within an extensive new urban parkland. The project is a $2 billion joint venture between Melbourne developer Hamton, leading superannuation fund Hostplus, and the Moonee Valley Racing Club.
Located just 6 kilometres from Melbourne’s CBD, the project will set a new standard of urban renewal; transforming Moonee Valley Racecourse into the new global benchmark for botanic-led living. Over the course of the next decade MVP will contribute around 2,000 dwellings to the neighbourhood, comprising both townhouses and apartments.
The botanic-led vision of MVP priorities walkability, providing both new residents and the broader community with easy access to parklands, walking trails, bike paths, sporting grounds, retail, dining and entertainment.
With future residents and environmental sustainability core to this vision, the project partners, architects Rothelowman and EnviroDevelopment have worked closely over the past twelve months to ensure Moonee Valley Park exceeds an average NatHERS energy rating of 6.5 stars.
All residences at Moonee Valley Park will be fitted with conservative water fixtures, utilise environmentally friendly heating and cooling, have solar panel installed on rooftops to offsets greenhouse gas emissions, feature energy efficient LED lighting systems plus much more. Hamton aim to recycle 80% of waste generated throughout the construction process and is committed to the pursuit of high quality environmentally sound building practice.
