
MAB’s vision for the Preston Crossing masterplan was to rejuvenate a dilapidated public housing site into a vibrant precinct. MAB carefully selected a diverse group of architects to deliver elegant, affordable and environmentally conscious homes, while introducing diversity into the design.
Preston Crossing exemplifies the integration of innovative solutions in engineering, sustainability and design to transform the site. It focused on creating timeless architecture that could be someone’s home for 50 years or more, where people want to stay, raise a family, and be part of a growing community – all in keeping with the Preston vibe.
The boutique townhouse collection quickly attracted couples and young families, drawn to its smart use of space, high-quality materials, and prime inner-city location. This appeal was reflected in its rapid success, with over 60% of homes sold within the first six months and the entire project selling out more than six months before construction was completed.
Through this project, MAB has addressed the urgent need for boutique family housing and created a vibrant, inclusive community that enhances the quality of life for both residents and the broader Preston community.
