Following the success of the Building Victoria’s Recovery Taskforce Priority Project Fast-Track pilot program, the Minister for Planning has established a 12-month Development Facilitation Program (DFP) within the department to speed up the assessment and determination of identified priority projects that:

  • deliver investment into the Victorian economy;
  • keep people in jobs; and
  • provide a substantial public benefit like affordable housing and emissions reduction.

The DFP coincides with Planning Minister Richard Wynne announcing $625 million of planning permit approvals for building and development projects across metropolitan, rural and regional Victoria.

We commend the Victorian Government on this work, that will continue to support the industry with a pipeline of shovel ready projects, driving investment, jobs and economic activity.
