Dahua’s Hawthorn Park designed by Rothelowman is a 360 degree dwelling development running between Camberwell Road and Burwood Road in Hawthorn East. A sense of tranquillity is created by a partly sunken 2000 square metre park around which the four buildings are situated. The most innovative feature is the transparent lap pool suspended between two buildings 18 metres high, the first of its kind in Australia. The Project had to overcome major issues with land assembly, structural issues with the elevated pool and management of adjoining uses during construction. 

Hawthorn Park is a complex and innovative solution to a significant development on a complex site.
