Matthew Kandelaars
CEO, UDIA Victoria

Dear Members,

I am delighted to have officially commenced at UDIA Victoria as Chief Executive Officer this week.

Joining an incredible team and Board of Directors, I can say with confidence that our focus is unequivocally set on you, our members.

We will be relentless in our pursuit of your objectives. The UDIA Victoria team has your back – we are here to serve, support and strengthen you as individuals, businesses, and as part of the urban development industry that is so critical to Victoria’s economic prosperity.

Over the past few weeks, I have been fortunate to speak to many government and industry stakeholders, who have shared extremely positive accounts of their experiences with UDIA Victoria. I have greatly valued the opportunity to learn more about what we’re doing well, and how we can represent you even more effectively.

Central to building on the wonderful work being done at UDIA Victoria, is growing our ability to genuinely engage with our members. We are committed to understanding you better than ever before, so we can represent you in the best way possible.

I invite you to take a 4 minute survey that will help renew and enhance our understanding of our membership. Please make the most of this opportunity – it is just the first step in me better getting to know you and your needs and ensuring we continue to represent you as best we can.

Finally, thank you for all those I have spoken to already for the warm welcome. It is a privilege to be leading such an amazing organisation, representing our vitally important members. A special thank you to the team, Committees and Board who have worked so hard over the past few months and to Angela Gaedke, who has done such a brilliant job as Acting CEO. I am thrilled to have Angela and our energetic and passionate team by my side as we continually fight for Victoria’s urban development industry.

Sincerely,

Matthew Kandelaars
