The heritage Federal Woollen Mills and the Pilkington Glass Factory were situated on 7 hectares in North Geelong. Both of these large operations had ceased to operate when purchased by the Hamilton group, a Geelong based owner and developer.

Its development will be of great importance to rapidly growing Geelong.
