UDIA is a keen advocate for diversity in the property and development industry, and makes considerable effort to profile and grow the influence of women and young professionals making a difference in the sector.
 

OUTLOOK YOUNG PROFESSIONALS COMMITTEE 

The Outlook Young Professional Committee represents young professionals in the industry.  Established in 2003, its objective is to assist in promoting greater engagement, representation and exposure for the younger demographic in property.  The Committee includes some of the industry’s brightest young developers and consultants.

Outlook’s mandate is to:

  • Provide forums for young people to establish new contacts and learn from experienced leaders in the industry
  • Participate in policy reviews, research and articles relating to topical issues in the development industry

WOMEN IN PROPERTY COMMITTEE  
 

Women in Property is a diverse group of professionals who empower individuals to participate and succeed within the property industry.
Established in 1999, the Committee’s objectives have expanded to assist in promoting greater engagement, representation and exposure for people in the industry.
Women in Property seeks to:
  • Encourage increased attendance by women at the Institute’s mainstream events
  • Encourage greater participation by women in the speaker program at the Institute’s mainstream events
  • Conduct research into barriers to participation and attendance by women and work with the Institute to broadcast this feedback
  • Offer constructive practical solutions to help the industry achieve greater integration and encourage a greater representation of women
  • Offer suggestions for themes, presenters and other items associated with Women in Property events and activities as well as the Institute’s mainstream events
  • Provide feedback from women of the industry on what Women in Property should be providing and promoting
  • Promote Women in Property to wider contacts
