    UDIA Victoria announces Committee Spill

    UDIA Victoria is thrilled to announce that our committees will be spilling in June, and our new and improved committees will be commencing in the new financial year!

    Applicants will have until COB 31st May to submit their application form.

    Please apply here. 


    You will have the opportunity to apply for Policy, Regional and Member Engagement committees.
    To be a member of a UDIA committee is to be at the forefront of positive influence and change on behalf of the development industry, working with issues and opportunities affecting policy and advocacy from local, state and federal government levels!

    Please note, you must be a financial member of UDIA to sit on a committee.

    Policy Committees 

    Planning
    To advocate for the reform and improvement of Victoria’s planning system.  Victoria’s planning system must facilitate development that meets Victoria’s housing, community and urban development needs and have a positive economic, social and environmental impact.

    Greenfield Development
    Advocate for the timely provision of new housing and communities in greenfield suburbs, as well as infrastructure and services to meets the needs of new communities, without adversely impacting the affordability and accessibility of land prices and housing.

    Infill & Urban Renewal
    Advocate for the timely provision of housing, infrastructure and services that meets the needs of established and growing communities, without adversely impacting the affordability and accessibility of housing, and advocating for innovative and responsible development of Melbourne’s urban renewal precincts.

    Innovation, Sustainability and Technology 
    Advocate for awareness and the adoption of new technologies and innovations that will advance the urban development industry's knowledge and nous. Encourage and support sustainable urban development that generates positive economic, social and environmental outcomes.

    Finance & Investment
    Promote better access to finance from various funding streams, support the UDIA’s engagement with the financial sector, and protect Victoria as an investment destination while advocating for changes and improvements to the current tax and financial regulatory environment

    Regional Committees 

    Bendigo Chapter (Northern Region)
    Influence the strategic direction and development outcomes within the Northern Region, currently experiencing strong strategic growth.

    Geelong Chapter (Barwon Region)
    Influence the strategic direction and development outcomes within the booming Barwon Region.

    Member Engagemnt Committees 

    Leadership, Industry Workforce and Diversity Committee 

    Play a leadership role in driving the UDIA’S leadership and diversity agenda, inspiring cultural change and engagement with future urban development professionals.  Assist with member engagement including events, professional development, mentoring, industry profiling and other engagement projects as determined by the CEO and Chair. 

    Women in Property
    Represent female professionals within the urban development industry and assist in promoting greater engagement, participation and exposure across the industry.

    Outlook Young Professionals
    Represent young professionals within the urban development industry and assist in promoting greater engagement, participation and exposure across the industry.

    We encourage you to approach current UDIA committee members to ask them about their experiences on the frontier of change alongside the UDIA Policy & Advocacy Team.
