UDIA Women in Property Committee proudly presents Access Unlimited | Urban Development Series: Aurora, Hosted by Lendlease

How do developments get off the ground? What are the most challenging aspects of land development?
Gain a behind the scenes look into one of Victoria’s most successful master-planned communities, Aurora by Lendlease. This event is a chance for tertiary students and early career professionals to gain unparalleled insight into the development process.

This half day event will feature:
• Exclusive behind the scenes case studies - learn about the planning, sales, marketing, and development and environmental assessment process.
• Q&A with a panel of key industry experts: meet the team behind one of Victoria’s highly successful, expansive master-planned communities and take the opportunity to tap into a wealth of knowledge
• Opportunity to walk around an award-winning development (subject to weather conditions).
The Aurora site:
Located 25km north of Melbourne and spanning over two postcodes Epping and Wollert, Aurora is a 600-hectare development with 6,000 to 7,000 lots. When completed Aurora will be home for over 20,000 people and will provide a wealth of amenities including 4 new schools, 2 town centres, 3 community centres, 100+ hectares of open space, transport corridor, 2 new stations and a commercial precinct.

• Kim Kyle (Senior Urban Designer, Lendlease) – Overview of the planning requirements
• Lachlan Moore (Sales Consultant) – Sales and marketing
• Kristin Campbell (Ecology Consultant) – Overview of complex EPBC approval and the environmental challenges for the project.

The Tour will begin at:
9.30am, arrival at the Aurora Sales & Information Centre, 1 Timbarra Way, Wollert.

Presentation will take place in the sales office with potential to undertake a 30 minute walk around the project.

I have been involved in the property and development industry for nearly 15 years and I am passionate about urban renewal and creating places and communities where people want to work, live and play.
I have had vast experience across the public and private property sectors in Adelaide and more recently in Melbourne that has given me a broad range of exposure to varying governance and commercial structures. I have worked predominantly on inner city and urban infill projects with my most recent role leading a development team delivering over 3,000 new allotments in the northern corridor of Melbourne. I have a passion for the development industry and enjoy being able to see communities grow, develop and thrive. I also ensure that I continue to be an inspiring leader in this industry and take pride in encouraging and mentoring young professionals as they come through the industry.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be advised in writing at least 7 working days prior to the event date. A refund will not be granted if a registrant fails to attend or cancels within 6 working days prior to the event. Substitutions can be made at any time without penalty.
