Each quarter, Urbis releases the Urbis Apartment Essentials series in Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.
The report is based on an Urbis survey of developers and compiles information such as:
•  Number of conditional sales for the quarter,
•  Average apartment sale price,
•  Application status statistics
•  Product types, trends and sweet spots; and
•  Price points of apartment sales.
The report also tracks development approvals for apartment projects, focusing on developments of more than 25 apartments.
Presented by Urbis Director, Mark Dawson, the Melbourne Apartment Research Breakfast will reveal up to the minute data and analysis on the ever-changing performance of Melbourne’s high-density market.

About our speaker:

Mark Dawson is an expert on Melbourne’s property market.
He has a strong track record in residential economics consulting, both in Australia and internationally. Before joining Urbis in 2012, Mark was a senior consultant at global real estate advisory firm Cushman & Wakefield. He now leads Urbis’ Residential Property Economics and Research Team in Melbourne, overseeing research, advice and publications that help clients identify the opportunities of tomorrow.
Mark specialises in residential and mixed-use projects, and has advised banks, governments and developers on opportunities in Australia, the UK, Europe and the Middle East. He is skilled at positioning his clients’ projects, offering perceptive insights into demand, product mix, price points and target markets.
Mark’s career highlights include establishing Urbis’ Melbourne Apartment Essentials, a quarterly report that examines market trends, prices and opportunities. He also wrote the successful bid to designate Discovery Park, one of the largest R&D facilities in Europe, an Enterprise Zone.
