Delivering Jobs in Melbourne's Growth Areas

The Victorian Government’s long-standing policy of establishing jobs where people live has been a key driver behind growth area planning in recent years.  

Using our successful policy forum format, UDIA Victoria takes a deep dive into the challenges and opportunities ahead of the industry as it works to deliver jobs in Melbourne’s growth areas. Some of the key growth areas to be discussed will include Craigieburn North Employment Precinct, Beveridge Intermodel Freight Terminal and Merrifield.

Join us for a keynote presentation by Alix Rhodes, Executive Director from VPA followed by an interactive session moderated by Elysa Anderson, General Manager Residential Victoria from MirvacAlix Rhodes, VPA will be joined on the panel by Rob Papaleo, Colliers and Kerry Balci, Stockland.

Topics to be discussed include:

  • How is planning policy translating into real outcomes and real job numbers?
  • Do we have the right balance between land designated for employment and residential and other uses?
  • What will employment look like in the growth areas in the future?

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be advised in writing at least 7 working days prior to the event date. A refund will not be granted if a registrant fails to attend or cancels within 6 working days prior to the event. Substitutions can be made at any time without penalty.
